Heating – cooling – ventilation
Every kind of heating and cooling system can be easily integrated in the BUS system.
Smart thermostats and special sensors (humidity, CO2 concentration, rain sensor, wind speed and direction etc.) “learn” and react making a plasant, convenient, healthy environment with the least possible electrical demand offering quality of life and the maximum financial benefit for the user.
Audio and video management
The BUS system can integrate devices of common audio and video management with sources controlled by the system, creating independent operator zones with the possibility of different selections. This means that the BUS operates as a central computer that maintains video or/and audio files and every user can automatically select whatever he wishes to watch or the music he wishes to listen!
Automation and remote access
The management of all BUS systems is possible very easily in four modes: in-situ by BUS switches or remote control, automatically by motion or human presence sensors combined with natural lighting, centrally by touch screens, from a distance by mobile or fixed telephone or a computer, offering incredible possibilities, such as heating or cooling a space from a distance, heating water in a heater from a distance or control an automatic watering.
Energy management
In advanced BUS installations, there is a possibility of placing energy meters to monitor all electrical quantities: active or reactive power, phase current consumption, energy consumption payable to the Public Power Corporation (DEI), phase-to-neutral and phase-to-phase voltages, installation’s cosine, frequency. Under the specific calculations, it is possible for the loads to be rejected or be activated, so that simultaneous energy-intensive consumptions are avoided. In that way, the electrical installation, as well as the lifespan of sensitive lamps or electrical appliances, is protected and the economical operation of a business is further supported.
Electrical shutters, blinds, awnings
BUS system “reacts” to weather conditions, since all rolls, blinds and electric motorized awnings can be controlled by sun, humidity and wind speed sensors either on-site by switches or automatically. In that way, the maximum protection of the building is always guaranteed, and the highest cost-effectiveness is achieved.
Lighting control
Now, through the BUS system, lighting operation becomes an easy case, since all lights can be controlled either by ON/OFF or by DIMMING (modulating the intensity) in four modes: in-situ by BUS switches or remote control, automatically by motion or human presence sensors combined with the natural lighting, centrally by touch screens, at a distance by mobile or fixed telephone or a computer.
Moreover, the possibility of selecting a scenario from the variety offered by the system, such as the scenario of a dinner, an emergency case, a party, etc, creates the appropriate atmosphere for each occasion by just pressing a button.
Control of security – alarm – fire detection – closed-circuit TV systems
Security systems are absolutely intelligent systems. With their proper utilization and integration in the BUS system, they can become user-friendly and include further functions that make everyday life easier and improve life quality, e.g. every time the alarm is set after leaving a place, all lights are turned off, electrical blinds go down, etc.
Furthermore, the BUS system can inform the users via e-mail or through their mobile telephones about the status of the systems, so that possible malfunctions are prevented.
Finally, monitoring cameras can be included in the visualization of the system and execute functions or sound messages while recording the activities selected by the users.
Central management and visualization of the system
Except for on-site handling of the installation, a central management is also possible, making the use of the system even easier. Through a touch screen both the consumptions and their current status can be controlled. With just one glance you can check whether all electrical blinds are down, all lights are off or whether the alarm is set on. Moreover, in order to have a further control, there is a possibility of graphic visualization of the central management.
